How to build a landing page that converts
Your content and ads send people somewhere. If that page is cluttered or unclear, the clicks you worked for leak away. A landing page should do one thing and do it obviously. Here is the structure that converts.
The anatomy, top to bottom
One clear promise
Say who it is for and what they get, in one line. This is 80 percent of the page. If it is vague, nothing below matters.
The transformation
Reinforce the outcome. "Go from guessing what to post to a full month planned in an afternoon."
Why believe you
A testimonial, a result, or a recognisable logo. Even one piece of proof lifts conversion.
Ask for the minimum
Name and email is usually enough. Every extra field costs you signups.
One action, action-driven
"Get instant access" or "Download now." Repeat it once near the bottom. One page, one goal.
What leaks signups
Too many links
A nav bar or extra links give people a way to leave. Strip the page to one path.
Vague headline
If a stranger can't tell what they get in five seconds, they bounce.
Long forms
Every field you add lowers conversion. Ask only for what you truly need.
Launch checklist
- One headline, one offer, one action.
- No nav bar or distracting links.
- At least one piece of proof above the fold.
- The form asks for the minimum.
- It loads fast and works on mobile.
