Turn your LinkedIn profile into a landing page

Every good post drives profile visits. That profile is your real landing page, and most people leave it as a resume. Rework these five parts and the same content starts producing leads instead of just views.

The five parts that do the work

Banner

Sell the outcome

The first thing people see. Show what you do, who it is for, and a reason to act. Not a stock photo of a city.

Headline

Who you help, in one line

Lead with the outcome you create, not your job title. This is the line that follows you across the whole platform.

Featured

Point to one next step

Pin your lead magnet, best post, or booking link. Keep it to two or three items, all pushing one direction.

About

Make the value obvious

Open with the problem you solve and who for. Short lines, plain language, a clear call to action at the end.

Experience

Prove it briefly

Summarise the journey and wins. Keep descriptions tight and add links, this builds credibility without becoming a resume.

The test

Read your profile as a stranger who just clicked from a post. In five seconds, can they answer three questions: who do you help, what do you offer, and what should I do next?

If any answer is unclear, that is where your leads are leaking. Fix the profile before you spend energy making more content.

Profile checklist

  • Banner states the outcome and who it is for.
  • Headline leads with value, not job title.
  • Featured section points to one clear next step.
  • About opens with the problem you solve.
  • There is an obvious way to contact or book you.
FAQ

Frequently asked

Quick answers on this topic.

Your content drives people to your profile before they decide to trust you. If the profile does not clearly explain who you help and what to do next, those hard-won visits are wasted.
